Reverse chipped, sand-carved and silvered, in 1/4" black back painted glass, Quarter Moon floats above a perforated steel framework with 3/4" rolled edges. Four, gloss black retaining clips allow for tool-less changes in orientation at the viewer's discretion, and are nearly invisible.
The back painted glass results in a mirror finish on the viewing side, which makes the crescent moon really "pop".
